The element of water represents emotions and the range of all its expressions. Imagine the feeling of relief as you step into a running brook of cool water in the heat of the summer. Now, can you see a pond of stagnant water that is dark, murky and green. Imagine the weight of those emotions… feeling unloved, lonely, paranoid, separate and not part of anything.
Relationships are an interesting thing. It’s all about feelings, and a feeling can be on a very shadowy light-hearted “hello and goodbye" level.. or within a more profound and deeper space. For example, you can feel the power of relationships within the pit of your stomach; and even deeper as it runs through every vein in your body... to the depths of the ocean. As in the love of parents for their children or a child for their momma and daddy.
As in the love between pet owners and their pets… That same love is expressed towards our planet earth from concerned people who fight to protect our mother that birthed and sustains life.

And all the range of emotions that fall in between. Our challenge as humans is to strive to live a balanced life. On a very basic level this means living in a state of good health, both “physically” and on a finer tuned level, “emotionally”. Emotions are energetic reactions to events… and events are all of our moments. You can be in a calm contemplative state, such as when you meditate or watch T.V. Or, in an electrifying charged state. Such as when your favorite sports team wins a championship game. We have emotional attachments to events that happen to us in our lives.
Look at this beautiful insect. The rich green color is easily camouflaged amongst green leaves. I cringed when I saw this tomato hornworm on my tomato plant. Notice, no leaves, and the tomatoes had holes in them. This sight created a mild rage within me. I had to regroup and use my magic to transmute that emotion for tranquility and clarity. What’s the lessons learned. The tomato hornworm appears because it was summoned by nature to come and destroy the plant, that became too dehydrated to survive. The leaves were green but the plant wasn’t producing much fruit. Hydrated plants have very few bug problems. So, I don’t cringe anymore when I see the hornworm. I discerned the rhymes and rhythms surrounding my tomato plant and was empowered to act accordingly; Nishati, the energy of me!
Becoming aware of our emotions around significant events transmutes into revelations when we consciously open ourselves to discern the energies around us. The process of “Nishati, the energy of me” teaches us how to discern the rhymes and rhythms that make-up who we are; as revealed through our eyes. We learn everything through observing nature.
Pay attention to your repeated thoughts and how often they enter your mind. What emotional state is associated with these repeated thoughts. Now, feel into them.
What comes up. step back and take a mountain top view of the repeated thoughts. What situations do the thoughts tend to appear in.
What pattern (s) do you see and what does that tell you about you?
At various times in our life we have different repeated thoughts… different things grab our attention. And our response to these events are based on past experiences and choices; in this life or perhaps in another life; or based on our environment or the position of the constellations when we were born.
For this moment... on this day… what are your repeated thoughts... What does that say to you about you?
